Camp Day 4 (July 12th)

  • "Phraseology" - Dr. Reese used that term. My only question was "Is it really a word???" Then we went to the library and I found out it actually is. Such puzzling questions to think over.
  • Jamestowne Fort and Washington's Continentals - I meant to talk about my team a bit so here it goes:
    1. Chayna: She's only 14 and already has her whole future planned out. She wants to be a lawyer. She loves to debate and give speeches. She did great with the "Buffalo Bill" thing.
    2. Nicholas Davis: He's pretty bossy. And honestly I find him annoying. He self-proclaimed himself "Vice Captain". HAHA! Whatever.
    3. Jessica: Still holding strong with the quiet thing. LOL.
Jessica was so funny today!
She did some funny skip thing down the stairs, then, started laughing.
Oh ya, the couply people. Joseph and Anyta.
We were walking behind them (which we always seem to end up doing) and she did that *she's crazy* signal thing. Then the guy struck a pose and she was like, "Him too..."
Hahahaha!
She is so awesome!

Camp Day 3 (July 11th)

We got to see a One-Room Schoolhouse/ Bible Manuscript Room. More Jamestown and Diorama stuff. Centennial Celebration of American Aviation thing presented by some military guys.
But none of that is in my journal.

This is:

DAY 3: Pathetic? Yes!

"Your eyes are so blue,
I can't look away..."

(o.O)

I'm not even sure he's even acknowledged my existence yet!
Although there have been a few times it seemed he caught me looking at him...(eek)
Maybe (eek) not. I might still be INVISIBLE.
It is SO PATHETIC! Spending all of lunch (that would be why it was so quiet) thinking about a guy who has yet to say "hello" or even notice I'm here! (Dinner, too.)
Aargh!!
That's about 7 parrots on it's own.
I'm feeling the other 3 parrots swarming me!
Aaargh!!!
(That's 10 parrots people!!!)

"I see you there,
Still you are
FARTHER AWAY"

*SQUAWK!*

Nighttime...
At least I had fun w/ Kitty.
We went to the library with some of her friends for a bit.
Then to my room, but everyone was working on their projects so we left to hers.
We talked about Jeeves and Malachi (Duh.).
Then we went on the elevators. Hahaha!

7- A bunch of people all staring at us.

8- We got a thumbtack.

9- No one. Few lights. Creepy moaning. Then laughter. A bunch of girls came up on the elevator wondering how they got to floor 9...

Then we went on the other one and hit all the buttons!!! Muhahaha!!!

Camp Day 2 (July 10th)

Okay, not much in the way of "interesting" happened.
We're working on our diorama's Very close to finishing our map (Team 1).
Studying Jamestown. We had a thing about the 2nd Amendment. That was cool.

"I've never looked at a squirrel the same way again..."

Some guy said that coming out of the Four Winds. Jessica and I couldn't stop laughing.

Back at the room,
Jessica and I wrote a story. While Savannah and Gracie went swimming.

Camp Day 1 (July 9th)

Yes on the way there my dad was a total dork. Duh. "Octo-Whopper". Haha.

But anyways...

Okay, walking into the Administration Building.... Here's pretty much what happened:
Walking. Walking. Walking.
Me: (thinking) that guy look familiar...Oh...that's his dad...So he's....) *gasp* There's Jeeves. (he sees me. Awkward smile. Ooh...He's so....*sigh*.... Dad where are you going???)
Dad: Hey. blah blah blah?
Jeeves: Yeah, Blah blah blah, sir.
Me: (sir? That's weird. He's so polite..)
Walk walk walk.
Dana: IRIS!!!! *run run run..big hug*
Me: Uhh....hi? (she knows who I am, that's weird.)

The lady at the desk gave me my package w/ info and such. And my name badge. Which you're supposed to have to get into the eating place (Four Winds) and the Sports Center and the dorms.
Which when I got there two people's stuff was there but they weren't.
So the Floor Leader, Kelly, gave me a small tour of the place.
Then a girl named Savannah (14, Illinois) came and we were good friends. Probably cause she's similar to Abilene. LOL. Starting with the fact she's 5'11" and blonde.
Then Grace(15, Texas) and Jessica(18, Ohio) came. All 3 of them are home schooled.

We played Hit the Deck until it was time for the "Welcome to PCC" thing and the Opening Session.
Jeeves was right on the front row like me. He looked like he was falling asleep. LOL. I pointed him out to Jessica, I think she knew from then on that I like him more than a friend. Speaking of Jessica: she writes stories, likes Star Wars, LOTR and POTC!!!
She barely talks tho.

Opening Session, we got put into teams. Jessica was the captain of our team, (Me, Chayna, and Nicholas).

That night....I got to hang out with Kitty!!! Foreign girl's luggage got lost, Debby, borrowed a skirt and top of mine the next day. She's in Music Camp, Elavator buggy, Close to missing "curfew". Running. Loud mattress. Bed time.

More Later.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY (PT. 2)

We got a spot in the very back.
Briana said she was there but I never got a hold of her to know where there she was.
Oh well.
My mom and I walked around. There was a lot of people. And a lot of creepy guys. And a lot of smokers. Everything we can't stand. So we cut behind the food cart things. Maneuvered around a few sleeping bags (people included). Ran under a tree. Went around a few more chairs and.....Ta-DA! We were back at our stuff. Andy and Dad were playing toss or something, which they later turned into bowling. Me being the pins. I laid out on the sleeping back reading Bad Kitty (which I finished, BTW). I had to stop when they turned out the lights and started the fireworks.
At first, my dad was making sound effects for the fireworks. Then we started seeing which combo they were (Super, Triple, Quadratic, Cannon, etc.). Cannon was my dad's favorite.
"Ow! My retinas!"
At the very end, when they shot everything off at once, I was a bit disoriented.
It's hard laying down looking at a large amount of flashy, bright things shooting really fast and exploding everywhere.

Then, We went home. I stayed up until 1am watching the Twilight Zone Marathon :P.

And now, I am eating the leftover cheesecake. Mmmm....CHEESECAKE!!!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!!

Just got back from The Landing.
Saw some fireworks. A lot of fireworks. Duh.
As much as I'd love to say my family and I got an awesome spot right on the dock next to my friends, that would be a total lie.
I'll tell you what really happened later. My mom is telling me to get ready for bed.

I'm Seeing Double!

On Saturday, Kitty came over. We went to the beach.
Then to Destin. We swam in the pool at Beachside. Got some deserts too :)
Went to the Commons. Walked around. Went to the Bookstore. There were some awesome notebooks on sale for $1!!! We got 2 each. we also got this book called "Bad Kitty". I'm almost done reading it. It's really good. Then we ate some food (Mmmm...food).
Abi called and we went over to her house later. We spent the night and such. Talked about the stories and boys. Went down stairs for a midnight snack. Stayed up til 3am. All the usual stuff.
The next day we went to church. Kitty had to leave (but not before we attacked her eyebrows), so it was just Abi and I.
We talked about Neio (the story we've been writing since 7th grade) constantly. We went to the beach with her dad, older brother Johnny, and her 2 younger sibs. And, of course, we talked about Neio nearly the entire time, while sitting on the rock wall trying not to get us (an our notebooks) soaked.

Marco called and said he needed me to start babysitting the next day. At 7am!!!
So, Monday morning bright and early (I am SO NOT a morning person!)
But at least their T.V. is HUGE!
I watched it until the 2 kids woke up. They are 7 and 5, the older one being a girl and the younger a boy. They are adorable. I made them waffles (completely burnt one, but I got the hang of the freaky toaster in the microwave). Then Omari went right back to playing his V-Smile. Shaylynn (probably spelled that wrong), started showing me all her baby pics.
Then, I took them to the park. Later, their Uncle Irvin came (around 4), and took us to their gma's, who live right next door to.......ABILENE!! So I got to talk to her for a few minutes before their gma took me home. I made $20, and got a rootbeer!! (from Abi's house).

And yesterday I took care of them again. They were so happy to see me. Did I mention they told me I am the best babysitter they ever had? They did. I love them!!
On our walk to the gas station Shaylynn(again, an embarrassing attempt to spell her name.) said it smelled good outside and Omari said "It's probably your hair, Iris!". He is too cute!
They are at their mom's for the weekend, so I won't be able to watch them until after camp.
But I am so brining art supplies for them. Cause I am The Best Babysitter Ever! That's right! With good smelling hair! Ya!

Daydreamer

P.S. I have my permit!!!
